Causes
There is no clear cut way to develop paranoid schizophrenia; it remains a mystery in the science world. However, there are correlatory reasons that offer some explanation. But correlation does not prove causation.
Genetics - Studies have shown that if you have a blood relative with the mental disorder then you have a 6% chance of developing it, compared to 1% chance if no one in your family has it. Even with increased chances though, it does not guarantee the development of the disorder.
In the Womb - There have been some connections between lack of nutrition or diseases in the womb. If you contracted the disease foetus in the womb your chances greatly increase and if you had a lack of nutrition this can also increase your chances.
Mental Trauma - This is a rather unreliable statistic because it is a chicken or the egg situation. If a person experiences a severe mental trauma while young this can increase their chances. Another facet of mental trauma being linked to paranoid schizophrenia is the person exhibiting anger, stress, and relationship problems. This may be inaccurate though because they might just be early symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia.
