A Break From Reality
Paranoid Schizophrenia is a psychosis mental disorder that causes the patient to experience a blur between what's real and what's not. The person will encounter visual and auditory hallucinations that can spawn delusions. The illness also alters the persons personality: creating a lack of emotion, less social interaction, and increased rate of suicide. For the most part, paranoid schizophrenics are not harmful and their hallucinations and delusions are not necessarily evil. For the most part their cognitive and affective functioning will remain intact.
